Rhode Island

The Rhode Island All-Payer Claims Database (RI APCD) is a collaboration among the Rhode Island Department of Health, the Office of the Health Insurance Commissioner, the Health Benefits Exchange, and the Executive Office of Health and Human Services. The State's APCD program will be used to study healthcare utilization, cost, and trends in order to inform both consumers and policy decisions, to allow for cost comparisons, and to provide information for researchers studying healthcare quality in Rhode Island.

Your organization will play an important part in creating this critical resource, providing the foundational data needed to enhance understanding of the use, cost, quality, and delivery of healthcare across Rhode Island. On these pages, you'll find helpful tools and information on how the process works, including how submitters standardize data and protect privacy in the State.

Onpoint was selected as the State's contracted vendor to perform the initial stages of RI APCD activities: data intake, cleansing, and consolidation. We’ve been doing this work for more than 15 years, helping launch seven statewide APCDs from Maine to Minnesota. We’re a nonprofit company committed to a singular mission: advancing informed decision making by providing independent and reliable health data services.

Meeting the requirements of APCD reporting can sometimes seem like a complicated process. Onpoint is here to help. Our intake staff are trained, experienced, and ready to work with you. If you have a question, we’ll help find the answer. Look around, explore, and don't hesitate to get in touch if you need assistance at any time.
